The Margaret Clark Art Education Enrichment Fund (MCAEEF), the fundraising arm of the Redlands Art Association, has awarded five $600 scholarships to graduating high school seniors at Redlands schools.

“The MCAEEF committee of the Redlands Art Association takes its responsibilities very seriously: providing and enhancing art education in Redlands and surrounding communities,” said Suzanne Burke, committee chairwoman.

Usually the Excellence in Arts monetary awards are given after the schools have had their annual art shows, she said. This year the high schools had to cancel their art shows because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Burke noted the funding source, the Redlands Classic Film Series, was canceled in the spring but the committee felt the need to continue. She thanks the MCAEEF committee, especially Lori Powell and Jeff Owens for their help on these awards.
