About the event

Halim ( Saleh Bakri) and Mina (Lubna Azabal) run a traditional caftan store in one of Morocco’s oldest Medinas. Halim is a craftsman who lovingly cuts, sews and embroiders each garment by hand in the tradition of his ancestors. Mina and Halim share a deep love for each other as they tend to their store and deal with the demands of irrational customers. They hire a young apprentice Youssef (Ayoub Missioui). As Mina deals with her progressing illness, she becomes uncomfortable with Youssef’s presence as they depend on his help. This beautifully woven tender storyline not only captures the craftmanship of an ancient art but that of three unexpected relationships. This is the second feature film of Maryam Touzani as director/writer & Nabil Ayouch as writer which they have produced since their 2019 film ADAM screened here previously. Another beautiful film!

Tickets can be purchased at the Redlands Art Association at 215 E State Street or at LOOK Cinemas Redlands before each show. Tickets are $15   |   Student prices with ID $10
