Driving Madeleine

Madeline (Renaud) is 92 years old, impeccably dressed and alert. She hails a taxi in Paris and tells the driver Charles (Boon) that this may be her last ride through her favorite haunts in her beloved city as she will soon enter a nursing home. She describes to Charles some enchanting anecdotes. He initially appeared to be irascible with curt responses as he wended his way through the traffic. However, as Madeline describes incidents with elegant detail Charles responds with his own stories of frustration and personal crises.
